Decluttering Financial Records Leads to Prosperity

Thought for today:

Whether we are in business for ourselves, or not, de-cluttering our financial records brings much-needed clarity.  BDA’s Third Tool encourages this.

BDA Tool 3:

We keep clean, orderly and accurate financial records, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash on Hand, Inventory, Assets, and Outstanding Debts, and put all tax and bill due dates on our calendar.

Members share:

“I had a lot of clutter in my business.  I finally got disgusted and made a clean sweep one day.  I did reality checks on what I really needed (tax records, customer histories, etc.) and what I didn’t need (paper records when I already had electronic).  By working the BDA Tools, along with my DA Tools, I learned how to grow my business along spiritual lines.”

“I am a CPA consultant, and keeping track of my Accounts Receivable and Payable has helped tremendously.  With so many accounts, I can’t imagine how I worked this before.”

“I’m a performing artist, and keeping track of my union dues, deductible expenses and due dates makes me feel much more secure than I was before.”

A prosperity horizon:

As we clear out clutter in our business, we find ourselves also clearing out clutter in our emotions.  Our mental state improves, and we feel compelled to live with integrity.

Contrary to what we feared, integrity in business doesn’t have to spell financial disaster.  When we conduct our business with clarity, it reflects in our dealings.  When that happens, we naturally prosper.

Ask:

“Are my financial records easy to store and find?”

Meditation for today:

Enthusiasm builds trust.  As we discover our true voices, and let go of the parts of us we no longer want to hold on to, we gain confidence.  And when we have confidence, we attract energy and love.

Affirmation for today:

“Today I will clear out one area of my workplace.”
