Living In Reality

Thought for today:

Fear ran our lives.  It consumed us.  The mailbox, the telephone, email.  All caused dread.  When was the next creditor going to make us miserable?

DA Promise 10: We will no longer fear the truth; we will move from hiding in denial to living in reality.

A member shares:

“Before DA, I was always the victim. I felt like I couldn’t breath, like each creditor was trying to strangle me.  I was always gasping for air, never able to take a deep breath.

“DA taught me to work through the fear, to the truth.  Members told me that there was no such thing as debtors prison.  I learned my rights included the right to ask that creditors only contact me in writing.  I began answering the phone after that.

“Eventually I was able to schedule regular monthly calls with creditors, to go over repayment plans that put my needs first.  I was able to have dignity again.”

Ask:

Am I living in reality?

Meditation for today:

The world around us is full of wonder if we stop to see it.  We may feel alone, but we are surrounded with energies we do not even understand.  We can find peace in stillness.

Affirmation for today:

“Money comes to me in unexpected ways.  I am ready to receive abundance.”
