Why Working Like It’s “You, Incorporated!” Makes Sense

A member shares about recovery from chronic under earning:

“In my early recovery I read all I could about attitude adjustment. One author, famous as a motivational speaker for business people, had an audio book about work.

“‘He would say’When you go to work, and want to progress in your career, think of yourself as “you incorporated”. I got the message that had to market myself to my employer every day.

“Before, I prided myself on my ability to work independent of my boss, and not report to him for days or weeks on end. Now I meet with him every morning to lay out the strategy for the day. During these meetings I can sense where shifting priorities are heading – and they shift all the time!  It’s enabled me to spot opportunities and drop obsolete projects quickly.  My career is so much better for it.”

Meditation for Today:

Communication is 90% of what I do today. My job is to scale my approach – delegating and automating my way out of my current job and into the perfect job for me.

Affirmation for Today:

My wealth grows as I give to others of my experience, strength and hope. My sights are on giving away everything I know in service of others, because I know there is plenty for everyone, once we share of our abundance.

Prayer for Today:

Instill in me the knowledge that there is plenty of time, plenty of money, and plenty of love!
