February 20, How Action Plans Work (DA Tool Six)

Thought for today:

Did you ever walk into a room and forget why you went there? DA Tool Six, Action Plan, can bring us to a point where we figure out our spending, earning, saving, and debt repayments, sure. Those were huge tasks. But then we may start to say to ourselves “Where was I heading with my life before I got so sidetracked with spiraling debt?”

In other words, what do we really want to do with our lives? What are our goals?

Here is a paradox: Even though our goals are personal to us, we must express them to others and to the universe to fully understand their worthiness of our time.

Action plans include anything that helps us to meet our goals. They naturally evolve from our Pressure Relief Meetings, Vision boards, daily affirmations, writings, meditations, prayers, discussions, and guided imagery.

We can recognize what is possible, and what is worthy of our efforts, and work out a plan of Action.  It just takes a little practice.

Am learning which possible actions are worthy of my time, money and love goals?

Meditation for today:

We get ideas throughout the day – little inspirations from our Higher Power, to do acts of kindness or growth. We can choose to act, or wait, or reject those ideas. Such freedom comes to all beloved children of God.

Affirmation for today:

I have the power of creation in my words, thoughts and actions. Today if I imagine a goal and list five actions to meet it, I am likely to compel that outcome by my spirit’s longing.

Prayer for today:

I pray that inspiration comes to me like a butterfly landing on my shoulder.

Dr. Schuller was Pastor of the Crystal Cathedral and a famous Sunday morning TV personality for years.  This book chronicles how he developed the concept of “possibility thinking” – methods to tap into the spiritual energy latent in all of us.  He used “possibility thinking” to plan and build the Crystal Cathedral – from setting the grand vision in his congregation’s mind to getting the millions need to fund it.  Told in a down-to-earth style, this book is a must for anyone who needs a pick me up after a lay-off, and anyone else who realizes that they have to start a new chapter.

I have applied his “Count to Ten and Win!” method many times to creatively summon  out of thin air ten “possibility thinker” thoughts on a sheet of paper.  I’ve used it to deal with family crises, being downsized, and disappointments.  Tough Times Never Last, But Tough People Do!  inspired this blog post.  Let this inspirational, non-denominational, and inexpensive book help you tap your full potential!
