Thought for today:
A prosperous liger is available in DA when we work the DA Tools and DA Steps. Prosperity takes work
But most of us have gone through periods of feeling too overwhelmed by life to do the work we know we need to do. How do we get back on track (or on track to being with) to get this prosperity thing DA is talking about?
That elusive feeling of prosperity is often based on an “attitude of gratitude”. DA suggests that our attitude needs to change.
Let’s consider that we can naturally feel grateful for the friends we’ve found in DA, and for the existence of the DA Tools and Steps. Each of these help us get clear about our money and our lives, and is a source of comfort and abundance in its own right.
It takes some will power to do the action work of the program (the Twelve Steps and the Twelve Tools) that makes us grateful, but having gratitude before during and after doing this work doesn’t take much of a struggle when you think about it. In fact, gratitude replaces struggle, and gratitude cannot coexist with fear, worry, resentment or debt.
When we allow the thought and actions of gratitude for all that DA and our Higher Power has enabled in us, prosperity (the real feeling and reality of prosperity and abundance) naturally follows. It’s all in our attitude.
DA Promise Four: “We will begin to live a prosperous life, unencumbered by fear, worry, resentment, or debt.”
When we rely on gratitude to guide us instead or our own anxious thoughts, we are making a breakthrough. Gratitude comes to us as we work the powerful set of Tools and Steps available to us.
Am I upset about money today? If so, am I asking DA members for help?
Meditation for today:
A spiritual law is available to those who seek abundance: If we express awe in our creation, we open ourselves to the possibility of abundance and prosperity. We must be truly grateful for that abundance which is spilled into our lives each day.
Affirmation for today:
I am prosperous in all areas of my life. Each day that I choose gratitude I will receive more money than the day before.
Prayer for today:
I pray that my awe in my Higher Power is expressed in everything I do. When I include my Higher Power in all my affairs, my abundance is clear, and I know that I have been preserved for great things.
