“Fear and worry had real power over me. I would either obsess over past mistakes and injustices, or anticipate future losses. Everyone was out to get me. But the past never changes, and what I was afraid of rarely actually happened.
It became apparent that I was wasting time doing these things, and what I was really afraid of was the power I had in the present moment to change my life.
“It was then that I learned to turn away from my self-sabotaging fear and worry, and gently guide my thoughts back to the present moment, where all things are possible.”
Ask:
Do I appreciate this very moment?
Meditation for today:
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery, but today, well-lived, makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope…”*
