Thought for today:

DA helps people get solvent.  We naturally want to champion it to anyone who needs a way out debilitating debt.

The primary purpose of our groups is to carry this message of solvency to compulsive debtors. We do this for several reasons…

First, we share because our own solvency gets stronger from explaining how it works. Our solvency depends upon “giving the fellowship away” to newcomers.  Second, it is a pleasure to help, for those of us who have found solvency are uniquely qualified to convey the Tools of the program.  Third, the idea of passing it on helps the fellowship of DA continue.  We want the hand of DA to always be there for future generations.

Tradition Five:“Each group has but one primary purpose–to carry its message to the debtor who still suffers.”

With a little sacrifice of our time carrying the message of solvency we reap big rewards – for the newcomer, for ourselves, for our group, and for DA.

Meditation for today:

How often do we dream of great successes, not realizing the success we are today!  With solvency, everything improves.

Affirmation for today:

“When anyone who is willing to look at their debt issue honestly asks for help, I will share how solvency works.”

Prayer for today:

I pray for freedom from the despair that my debts used to cause me.  I pray that by helping the still-suffering debtor, I help everyone stay solvent, including me.
