How Positive Self-Talk Leads to Positive Outcomes

Affirmations reach upward

Thought for today:

Our self-talk can affect real change in our lives.   They can enable wealth to start flowing in.  They can also cause unexpected effects we need to consider.

One thing to be careful of is to pick affirmations that keep us in a mode of positive attainment.  Case in point: some affirmations seem to imply that we already have wealth.  They imply that we don’t have to do anything in order for prosperity to materialize.   This of course won’t do.

We need verbs in our affirmations.  We need to have action.  Otherwise our subconscious may think there is no need for our universe to change!

A member shares:

“My self-talk before DA was always negative.  I’d say to myself ‘Oh God, I will never make enough money to survive this week.’  And of course, I would not have enough money.

“I learned the value of self-talk in DA.  At Visions meeting, and in reading DA stories, they all talked about affirming a positive future.  Prosperity was not only possible, but likely, if I worked the program the way others had done before me.

“My visions and affirmations have changed over the years in DA. At first they were all about getting material possessions.  Later, professional certifications and other training took pre-eminence.  Lately, my affirmations are more spiritual than anything else.  I affirm enjoyment of life, bringing order and love.  I want to inspire growth in myself and those around me.”

Affirmations that entice success

Check out these affirmations to see how we can maximize our life’s bandwidth and add a new energy to our spiritual growth.  We can also make up some of our own.

When we focus on an affirmation after each recitation, we can track our own reaction.  Our minds will naturally drift and sometimes our self-talk after the affirmation becomes negative.  This is normal.  It means that we are considering the alternative behavior or goal, and evaluating its’ potential impact in our lives.  We are confronting our own denial and excuse-machine.

With practice, affirmations can lift our hearts and make us feel positive about our future goals.

Ask:

“Am I affirming my solvency?”

Meditation for today:

Everything that is ever created starts with an observer’s thoughts. These thoughts can be visions, affirmations that reach out to fill the future with abundance.  When we affirm, we are reaching out to an unknown future with hope.

Affirmation for today:

Just for this day, I will live in this moment, right here, right now.  I will set aside my fears of the future and my regrets about the past, accepting everything exactly as it is at this moment.” *
