What’s Your Plan For the 2nd Half of the Year?

Thought for today:

While the program of recovery from compulsive debting tells us to take life one day at a time, it is also good to periodically plan for the longer term.  It’s simpler to know how to spend our days if we know what we want to achieve.  Creating goals is important.

A member shares:

“Now that I have taken a mid-year inventory, I’m asking myself what are my plans for the second half of the year?

“Do I have any goals?  At the very least I want to stay solvent, be a sponsor and be sponsored in the Twelve Steps.  I can also target to improve my net financial worth, living within my means, and having a savings plan, however humble.

“Do I have concrete monetary goals – a number I want to try for?  To do less is to fear numbers, and we are in recovery for that.

Ask:

Do I see how my financial progress is possible?

Meditation for today:

The dream you have for the future is a gift from your Higher Power.  In dreams, futures form, and abundance comes into your life.

With hope and work, your visions will become reality.

Affirmations for today:

I will share my dreams of the future with my support network.”

“I nurture my goals.”

“I accept reality, dream thoughtfully, and act vigilantly to preserve the vision of my goals.”
