Thought for today:
Intuition is something we need to listen to – the “gut reactions” that come from our unconscious, pre-frontal cortex brains. How we integrate intuition has a lot to do with how successful we are.
Emotional intelligence relies on intuition. We intuit a person’s needs, and reach consensus on an issue.
Intuition is a spiritual connection to help us navigate life – a sixth sense. Often an idea comes to mind that we didn’t plan on, and it’s important to discuss it or act on it.
A member shares:
“I was sitting at my desk at work the other day and suddenly I felt that something was wrong – but I couldn’t tell what it was. I often feel anxious, but this time I stopped and thought about it.
“Then it dawned on me that I had a website domain to renew. I checked the website to renew it, and noticed that it was coming due the next day! Had I waited another day I would have lost the domain!
“My intuition saved the day, informing my consciousness that something important was coming up requiring my attention. I knew enough about myself to trust this intuition, and to allow myself to detach from the work I was doing and take care if it.”
Ask:
Do I pay attention to my intuition?
Meditation for today:
Decisions are best made in the first half of the day when we are fresh and alert. It’s easier to detach from obsessive thoughts at that time.
As the day gets older, begin to retreat from making important decisions.
Affirmation for today;
“Even though it may feel uncomfortable, I will allow my intuition to guide me to make wise decisions today.”
“I let go of difficult situations when I am too tired to deal with them. This will allow me to return with better focus in the morning.”
