How Did You Do In the First Half of the Year?

Thought for today:

Now that the first half of the year has come to a close, why not stop and contemplate how we’re doing with money, and adjust our Action Plans to better suit our goals?

Just as a sail boat veers off course and the sailor adjusts the sails, so our money-course needs adjusting.  Everyone needs course-correction to get to their destination.

A member shares:

“I take a periodic inventory and ask myself, “Do I have a sponsor whom I am using?  Do I have periodic Pressure Relief Meetings to check my spending, income and savings? Am I living within my means?

“How are my savings and retirement accounts (however humble) doing?  Have I made progress toward my financial net worth goals?  If not, do I have a plan of action that I review with my sponsor and/or financial advisor?  Have I kept a record of debt repayments and logged any debts I’ve retired?

“‘Progress, not perfection’ is the idea.”

Ask:

Am I making progress?  Do I need to make any course-corrections to meet my goals?

Meditation for today:

Money is a fluid energy, flowing naturally from nature’s cornucopia.

Affirmation for today:

“I have all that I need to thrive today, and much of what I want.”

“God, grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and Wisdom to know the difference.”
